SO I was reading neuropharmacology papers on Nature.com and came across an article entitled Switching Into A Disassociated State, written by Jake Rogers. I started reading the first paragraph:

“The cellular and circuit mechanisms that produce dissociated states — in which an individual’s internal experiences disconnect from the environment — are unclear. Now, Cichon et al. show that, in mice, ketamine-induced dissociated states are triggered by populations of active or silent cortical pyramidal neurons switching their activity state”

At about the end of the paragraph I spilled my coffee on my desk and all over my keyboard. I didn’t even get to realize that the full article was protected by a subscription wall until 10 minutes after clean-up.

There’s a joke here somewhere.
